Abstract
An image processing apparatus includes a storage unit in which a usage quantity of each of the functions is stored, and a processor configured to control activation of the application, based on the usage quantity of the function employed by the application.
Claims20
An image processing apparatus configured to execute an application that employs one of a plurality of functions of the image processing apparatus, comprising:
- a storage unit in which a usage quantity of each of the functions is stored;
- and
- a processor configured to control activation of the application, based on the usage quantity of the function employed by the application.
An image processing system comprising:
- a plurality of image processing apparatuses, each configured to execute an application that employs one of a plurality of functions thereof;
- and
- a management device configured to manage the plurality of image processing apparatuses,
- wherein the management device includes
- a storage unit in which a usage quantity of functions for each of the functions is stored, and
- a processor configured to determine whether or not the usage quantity exceeds a threshold value, in response to a request to activate the application received from one of the plurality of image processing apparatuses, and
- wherein each of the image processing apparatuses includes
- a processor configured to control activation of the application, based on a determination result returned by the management device in response to a request to activate the application.
A control method for activating an application in an image processing apparatus, wherein the application employs one of a plurality of functions of the image processing apparatus, the method comprising:
- tracking a usage quantity of each of the functions;
- determining whether or not the usage quantity of the function employed by an application for activation selected by a user exceeds a threshold quantity;
- and
- controlling activation of the application based on whether or not the usage quantity of the function employed by the application exceeds the threshold quantity.
