Abstract

Provided is a light guide for achieving an appearance resembling a stainless-steel surface with polishing marks. A light guide (13) guides incident light rays and emits some of the incident light rays from a light exit surface (14). A plurality of light exit areas (11), configured to change the directions of the incident light rays and emit the incident light rays from the light exit surface (14), are arranged adjacent to one another. Each of the light exit areas (11) includes a plurality of light exit parts (12) in which directions of light rays with maximum intensities out of the light rays to be emitted are substantially the same. The light exit parts (12) in each of the light exit areas (11) are configured so that the directions of the light rays with the maximum intensities out of the light rays to be emitted from each of the light exit areas (11) are random. Each of the light exit areas (11) has a strip shape.
