Abstract
A method is presented for disconnecting a wireless time-division duplex communication link between two nodes. A first node transmits during time slots allocated to the first node and the second node transmits during separate time slots allocated to the second node. The first node transmits at differing respective frequency bands during its time slots. The method includes: sub-dividing a time slot allocated to the first node into consecutive time intervals; and transmitting respective disconnect signals during the time intervals. Each of the disconnect signals is transmitted on a frequency band used by the first node. The disconnect signals are transmitted on different frequency bands during at least two of the time intervals.
Claims28
A method for disconnecting a wireless time-division duplex communication link, said time-division duplex communication link being between a first node transmitting during time slots allocated to said first node and a second node transmitting during separate time slots allocated to said second node, said first node transmitting at a respective one of a plurality of frequency bands during each of said time slots allocated to said first node, said method comprising:
- sub-dividing a time slot allocated to said first node into consecutive time intervals;
- transmitting, using a transmitter, respective disconnect signals during a plurality of said time intervals, each of said disconnect signals being transmitted on a respective one of said plurality of frequency bands, wherein for at least two of said time intervals said disconnect signals are transmitted on different frequency bands.
A method for controlling an apparatus interfering with wireless time-division duplex communication, said time-division duplex communication being between a first node transmitting during time slots allocated to said first node and a second node transmitting during separate time slots allocated to said second node, said first node transmitting at a respective one of a plurality of frequency bands during each of said time slots allocated to said first node, comprising:
- receiving, using a receiver, wireless transmissions from said second node;
- determining a time slot allocated to said first node based on said received transmissions and subdividing said determined time slot into consecutive time intervals;
- and
- instructing said apparatus to transmit respective disconnect signals during a plurality of said time intervals, each of said disconnect signals being for transmission on a respective one of said plurality of frequency bands, wherein for at least two of said time intervals said disconnect signals are transmitted on different frequency bands.
An apparatus for disconnecting a wireless time-division duplex communication link, said time-division duplex communication link being between a first node transmitting during time slots allocated to said first node and a second node transmitting during separate time slots allocated to said second node, said first node transmitting at a respective one of a plurality of frequency bands during each of said time slots allocated to said first node, comprising:
- a signal generator adapted to:
- sub-divide a time slot allocated to said first node into consecutive time intervals;
- and
- generate respective disconnect signals for a plurality of said time intervals, each of said disconnect signals occupying a respective one of said plurality of frequency bands, wherein for at least two of said time intervals said disconnect signals occupy different frequency bands;
- and
- a wireless transmitter, associated with said signal generator, adapted to transmit said disconnect signals at said respective time intervals.
A controller for a wireless disconnect apparatus, said disconnect apparatus being for interfering with wireless time-division duplex communication link between a first node transmitting during time slots allocated to said first node and a second node transmitting during separate time slots allocated to said second node, said first node transmitting at a respective one of a plurality of frequency bands during each of said time slots allocated to said first node, comprising:
- a receiver adapted to receive wireless transmissions from said second node;
- a signal analyzer associated with said receiver, adapted to:
- determine a time slot allocated to said first node based on said received transmissions;
- subdivide said time slot into consecutive time intervals;
- and
- instruct said disconnect apparatus to transmit respective disconnect signals during a plurality of said time intervals, each of said disconnect signals being for transmission on a respective one of said plurality of frequency bands, wherein for at least two of said time intervals said disconnect signals are transmitted on different frequency bands.
