Timing Advance Determining Method and Device

A network device, comprising:

• a transmitter;
• a processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program to be executed by the processor, the program including instructions for:
• determining, based on a correspondence between a first parameter set and a first timing advance (TA) granularity, TA information to be used by a terminal on an occupied frequency domain resource, wherein the first parameter set comprises a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) and a first cyclic prefix (CP) type;
• and
• sending the TA information to the terminal using the transmitter.

A terminal device, comprising:

• receiver;
• a processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program to be executed by the processor, the program including instructions for:
• receiving, using the receiver, first timing advance (TA) information sent by a network device;
• determining, based on a correspondence between a first parameter set and a first TA granularity, that the first TA granularity corresponds to a frequency domain resource occupied by the terminal device, wherein the first parameter set comprises a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) and a first cyclic prefix (CP) type;
• and
• determining, based on the first TA granularity and the first TA information, a TA value used by the terminal device on the occupied frequency domain resource.
