Abstract
An accessory that is mountable at a camera body and is capable of carrying out communication with the camera body, includes: a creation unit that creates first information pertaining to a position of a drive target member in the accessory; an accessory-side reception unit that receives second information pertaining to the communication from the camera body; a calculation unit that calculates third information related to a time period between reception of the second information and creation of the first information by the creation unit; and an accessory-side first transmission unit that transmits the third information to the camera body.
Claims15
An accessory that is mountable at a camera body and is capable of carrying out communication with the camera body, comprising:
- a creation unit that creates first information pertaining to a position of a drive target member in the accessory;
- an accessory-side reception unit that receives second information pertaining to the communication from the camera body;
- a calculation unit that calculates third information related to a time period between reception of the second information and creation of the first information by the creation unit;
- and
- an accessory-side first transmission unit that transmits the third information to the camera body.
An accessory that is mountable at a camera body and includes a plurality of terminals via which communication is carried out with the camera body, comprising:
- a first terminal through which a first clock signal is output to the camera body at a first cycle;
- a second terminal through which first information pertaining to a position of a drive target member in the accessory is output to the camera body in synchronization with the first clock signal;
- a third terminal through which a second clock signal is input from the camera body;
- a fourth terminal through which second information pertaining to the communication is received from the camera body in synchronization with the second clock signal;
- a fifth terminal through which third information pertaining to a time period between reception of the second information and creation of the first information is transmitted to the camera body in synchronization with the second clock signal;
- a sixth terminal used to indicate whether or not communication with the camera body is enabled;
- a seventh terminal through which a second source voltage is supplied from the camera body;
- an eighth terminal used as a ground potential for the second source voltage;
- a ninth terminal through which a first source voltage is supplied from the camera body;
- a tenth terminal used as a ground potential for the first source voltage;
- and
- an eleventh terminal used for the camera body to detect that the accessory is mounted.
A camera system, comprising:
- a camera body;
- and
- an interchangeable lens that is mountable at the camera body and is capable of carrying out communication with the camera body, wherein:
- the interchangeable lens includes:
- a creation unit that repeatedly creates first information pertaining to a position of a drive target member in the interchangeable lens;
- a lens-side reception unit that receives second information pertaining to the communication from the camera body;
- a lens-side calculation unit that calculates third information pertaining to a time period between reception of the second information and creation of the first information by the creation unit;
- a lens-side first transmission unit that transmits the third information to the camera body;
- and
- a lens-side second transmission unit that transmits the first information to the camera body;
- and
- the camera body includes:
- a camera body-side calculation unit that calculates, based upon the third information, a time point at which the first information having been transmitted from the interchangeable lens was generated.
