Image forming apparatus and correction method by the same

An image forming apparatus, comprising:

• a housing;
• an input unit comprising an input section, and a first rotary coupling having a first axis of rotation and connecting the input unit to the housing, such that the input unit is positionable by the swinging thereof along a first path centered on the first axis of rotation;
• a first motor connected to the first rotary coupling;
• a sensor configured to detect an object within an area facing the sensor and output a signal in response to detection of an object within the area facing the sensor;
• a second rotary coupling having a second axis of rotation connecting the sensor to the housing, such that the sensor is positionable by the movement thereof along a second path centered on the second axis of rotation to position the sensor to face different directions;
• a second motor connected to the second rotary coupling;
• and
• a controller configured to receive the signal from the sensor in response to detection of an object within the area facing the sensor, and selectively control the first motor to change the facing direction of the input section based on the value of the signal.
