Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for cross-carrier sounding with aperiodic channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS).
Claims30
A method of wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- receiving signaling triggering aperiodic channel state information reference signal (A-CSI-RS) transmissions in multiple component carriers (CCs);
- monitoring for the A-CSI-RS in the multiple CCs;
- and
- transmitting at least one measurement report for the A-CSI-RS in the multiple CCs.

A method of wireless communications by a network entity, comprising:
- transmitting signaling, to at least one user equipment (UE), triggering aperiodic channel state information reference signal (A-CSI-RS) transmissions in multiple component carriers (CCs);
- transmitting the A-CSI-RS in the multiple CCs;
- and
- receiving, from the UE, at least one measurement report for the A-CSI-RS in the multiple CCs.
1 more element
An apparatus for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- means for receiving signaling triggering aperiodic channel state information reference signal (A-CSI-RS) transmissions in multiple component carriers (CCs);
- means for monitoring for the A-CSI-RS in the multiple CCs;
- and
- means for transmitting at least one measurement report for the A-CSI-RS in the multiple CCs.
