Data detection in mimo systems with demodulation and tracking reference signals

A wireless signal detection device, comprising

• a plurality of asynchronous receivers, configured to receive a wireless signal, and to send signal data representing the wireless signal to one or more processors;
• and
• the one or more processors, configured to
• generate from the signal data a channel estimation for each of the plurality of receive antennas;
• determine transmit-specific phase shifts from the signal data;
• determine first receive-specific phase shifts from the signal data;
• and
• modify the channel estimation for each of the plurality of receive antennas for a first symbol of a subframe based on the determined transmit-specific phase shifts and the first receive-specific phase shifts.

A method of wireless signal detection, comprising

• receiving a wireless signal;
• generating from the wireless signal a channel estimation for each of a plurality of receive antennas;
• determining transmit-specific phase shifts from the wireless signal;
• determining first receive-specific phase shifts from the wireless signal;
• and
• modifying the channel estimation for each of the plurality of receive antennas for a first symbol of a subframe based on the determined transmit-specific phase shifts and the first receive-specific phase shifts.
