Abstract
Aspects of this disclosure relate to a cascaded filter circuit that includes a hybrid acoustic LC filter, a non-acoustic LC filter, and a switch configured to selectively couple the hybrid acoustic LC filter and the non-acoustic LC filter. The hybrid acoustic filter can filter a radio frequency signal. The hybrid acoustic LC filter can include an acoustic resonator, an inductor, and a capacitor. The non-acoustic LC filter includes an LC circuit. Related multiplexers, wireless communication devices, and methods are disclosed.

A cascaded filter circuit for radio frequency filtering, the cascaded filter circuit comprising:
- a hybrid acoustic LC filter configured to filter a radio frequency signal, the hybrid acoustic LC filter including an acoustic resonator on an acoustic resonator die, a capacitor external to the acoustic resonator die, and an inductor external to the acoustic resonator die;
- a non-acoustic LC filter including an LC circuit;
- and
- a switch configured to selectively couple the hybrid acoustic LC filter and the non-acoustic LC filter.
A method of filtering a radio frequency signal, the method comprising:
- coupling, with a switch, a hybrid acoustic LC filter and a non-acoustic LC filter, the hybrid acoustic LC filter including an acoustic resonator on an acoustic resonator die, a capacitor external to the acoustic resonator die, and an inductor external to the acoustic resonator die;
- and
- while the hybrid acoustic LC filter and the non-acoustic filter are coupled together, filtering a radio frequency signal.
A wireless communication device comprising:
- an antenna;
- and
- a radio frequency front end in communication with the antenna, the radio frequency front end including a filter configured to filter a radio frequency signal for transmission via the antenna, the filter including a hybrid acoustic LC filter, a non-acoustic LC filter, and a switch configured to selectively couple the hybrid acoustic LC filter and the non-acoustic LC filter, the hybrid acoustic LC filter including an acoustic resonator on an acoustic resonator die and an LC component external to the acoustic resonator die.
