Abstract
Disclosed is a method for recording a reference biometric data item in a biometric smart card including a biometric sensor. The recording of a biometric data item acquired by the biometric sensor, as a reference biometric data item, is completed in response to the validation, by the biometric smart card, of a personal secret code of the biometric smart card user entered on a first external device to authorise a transaction between the biometric smart card and a second external device by way of the first external device.
Claims20
Method for recording a reference biometric data item in a biometric smart card comprising a biometric sensor, wherein the recording (24) of a biometric data item acquired by the biometric sensor, as a reference biometric data item, is completed in response to the validation (22), by the biometric smart card, of a personal secret code of the biometric smart card user entered on a first external device to authorise a transaction between the biometric smart card and a second external device by means of the first external device.
Biometric smart card (1) comprising:
- a biometric sensor (16) configured to acquire a biometric data item of a user of the biometric smart card;
- a memory (14) configured to store said acquired biometric data item;
- a microcontroller (10) configured to store said acquired biometric data item;
- and
- an interface (18) for communicating with a first external device,
- the biometric smart card being wherein recording the biometric data item acquired by the biometric sensor in the memory of the biometric smart card as a reference biometric data item is dependent on the validation, by the biometric smart card, of a personal secret code of the biometric smart card user entered on the first external device to authorise a transaction between the biometric smart card and a second external device by means of the first external device.
