Abstract
An event notification system includes a control assembly and a wireless device. The wireless device is configured to communicate with the control assembly at dynamically configurable frequencies, and communicates with the control assembly at a first frequency when in a disabled status, and communicates with the control assembly at a second frequency when in an enabled status

An event notification system comprising:
- a control assembly;
- and
- a wireless device configured to communicate with the control assembly at dynamically configurable frequencies, wherein the wireless device is configured to communicate with the control assembly at a first frequency when in a disabled status, and communicate with the control assembly at a second frequency when in an enabled status.
A method of operating a event notification system comprising:
- placing a wireless device in a disarmed status;
- establishing a first frequency of communication between the wireless device and a control assembly when in the disarmed status;
- placing the wireless device in an armed status;
- and
- establishing a second frequency of communication between the wireless device and the control assembly when in the armed status, wherein the first frequency of communication is greater than the second frequency of communication.
