Virtual reality viewing system, reproduction synchronizing method, and virtual reality viewing program

A reproduction synchronizing method of synchronizing reproduction of a moving image by means of each of built-in computers of a plurality of head mounted displays and reproduction of sub-contents by means of an one external computer, the method comprising:

• a first step in which a reference reproduction elapsed time management unit of the external computer conducts a master management of a reference reproduction elapsed time relating to the reproduction of the moving image by means of the built-in computer so as to be synchronized with the reproduction of the sub-contents by means of the external computer;
• a second step in which a difference time detection unit of the built-in computer or the external computer detects a difference between a reproduction elapsed time of the moving image reproduced by the built-in computer of the head mounted display and the reference reproduction elapsed time undergoing the master management by the reference reproduction elapsed time management unit;
• and
• a third step in which a moving image reproduction adjustment unit of the built-in computer or the external computer adjusts the reproduction of the moving image by means of the built-in computer of the head mounted display so as to eliminate the difference detected by the difference time detection unit.

A computer-readable virtual reality viewing program which is applied to a built-in computer in a virtual reality viewing system in which a plurality of head mounted displays reproduces a moving image by means of the respective built-in computers thereof while one external computer controls reproduction of sub-contents, the program causing the built-in computer to function as:

• moving image reproduction means that reproduces the moving image;
• difference time detection means that makes an inquiry to the external computer to acquire a reference reproduction elapsed time undergoing a master management by the external computer in relation to the reproduction of the moving image by means of the built-in computer so as to be synchronized with the reproduction of the sub-contents by means of the external computer, and detects a difference between the acquired reference reproduction elapsed time and a reproduction elapsed time of the moving image reproduced by the moving image reproduction means;
• and
• moving image reproduction adjustment means that adjusts the reproduction of the moving image by the moving image reproduction means so as to eliminate the difference detected by the difference time detection means.

A computer-readable virtual reality viewing program which is applied to an external computer in a virtual reality viewing system in which a plurality of head mounted displays reproduces a moving image by means of respective built-in computers thereof while the one external computer controls reproduction of sub-contents, the program causing the external computer to function as:

• sub-contents reproduction means that controls the reproduction of the sub-contents;
• reference reproduction elapsed time management means that conducts a master management of a reference reproduction elapsed time relating to the reproduction of the moving image by means of the built-in computer so as to be synchronized with the reproduction of the sub-contents by means of the external computer;
• difference time detection means that makes an inquiry to the built-in computer of the head mounted display to acquire a reproduction elapsed time of the moving image reproduced by the built-in computer, and detects a difference between the acquired reproduction elapsed time of the moving image and the reference reproduction elapsed time undergoing the master management by the reference reproduction elapsed time management means;
• and
• moving image reproduction adjustment means that outputs an instruction to adjust the reproduction of the moving image by means of the built-in computer to the head mounted display so as to eliminate the difference detected by the difference time detection means.
