Abstract
A lighting apparatus including an organic light emitting diode includes an organic light emitting diode unit which includes an organic layer disposed on a substrate, wherein the organic light emitting diode emits light with an angle with respect to a normal direction of the organic layer; and an external light extracting layer which refracts the light emitted by the organic light emitting diode unit to the normal direction of the organic layer.
Claims20
A lighting apparatus including an organic light emitting diode, comprising:
- an organic light emitting diode unit which includes an organic layer disposed on a substrate, wherein the organic light emitting diode emits light with an angle with respect to a normal direction of the organic layer;
- and
- an external light extracting layer which refracts the light emitted by the organic light emitting diode unit to the normal direction of the organic layer.
A lighting apparatus comprising:
- an organic light emitting diode unit that performs surface emission,
- an encapsulating unit encapsulating the organic light emitting diode unit,
- wherein the organic light emitting diode unit includes a first electrode and a second electrode attached to both surfaces of the organic layer,
- wherein the first electrode includes an upper electrode in contact with the organic layer, an intermediate electrode in contact with the upper electrode, and a lower electrode in contact with the intermediate electrode;
- and
- an external light extracting layer including a plurality of protrusions each having a four-sided pyramid shape that refracts the light emitted from the organic light emitting diode unit to a front side of the lighting apparatus.
