Abstract

Techniques and systems described below relate to systems and methods to access and store blockchain data. In various examples, a client computer system submits a blockchain-agnostic request to a computing resource service provider and the service provider processes the request. The chain-agnostic request may be a request that is interoperable between multiple blockchain protocols, such that, for a given request, the request can be fulfilled using multiple underlying blockchain technologies. A computing resource service provider may receive and process chain-agnostic requests by decoding or otherwise interpreting the requests and routing the requests for fulfillment using one or more chain adapters that are accessible to the computing resource service provider. The service provider may determine metadata associated with the request and determining how to fulfill the request, which may include accessing computing resources of the computing resource service provider and/or the associated blockchain network.

Dependent claims

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving a chain-agnostic request encoded in a format that is interoperable between a plurality of blockchain protocols, the chain-agnostic request comprising a parameter indicating a blockchain protocol of the plurality of blockchain protocols;
selecting a chain adapter from a plurality of chain adapters that is compatible with the chain-agnostic request based on the parameter indicating the blockchain protocol;
causing the chain adapter to perform, based on the chain-agnostic request, one or more operations to obtain access to ledger data of a blockchain network according to the blockchain protocol;
parsing the ledger data to determine, based on the blockchain protocol, structured data;
storing the structured data in a database;
and
fulfilling the chain-agnostic request based on successfully storing the structured data.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon executable instructions that, as a result of execution by one or more processors of a computer system, cause the computer system to at least:

receive a chain-agnostic request encoded in a format that is interoperable between a plurality of blockchain networks, the chain-agnostic request comprising a parameter indicating a blockchain network of the plurality of blockchain networks;
select a chain adapter from a plurality of chain adapters that is compatible with the chain-agnostic request based on the parameter indicating the blockchain network;
cause the chain adapter to decode the chain-agnostic request to generate an unsigned transaction according to the blockchain network;
provide the unsigned transaction to a client computing entity;
receive a signed transaction, wherein the signed transaction is generated based on the unsigned transaction and a private key associated with the client computing entity;
broadcast the signed transaction to the blockchain network;
and
provide a response to the client computing entity based on whether the signed transaction was successfully broadcasted to the blockchain network.
