Abstract
A wearable device includes a first holder configured for removably receiving a first transponder and a radio frequency coupling unit. The radio frequency coupling unit includes a coupling portion and an antenna portion connected to the coupling portion. The coupling portion is configured for contactless coupling of the radio frequency coupling unit to the first transponder received by the first holder.
Claims25
A wearable device, comprising:
- a first holder configured for removably receiving a first transponder;
- and
- a radio frequency coupling unit comprising a coupling portion and an antenna portion connected to said coupling portion, wherein said coupling portion is configured for contactless coupling of said radio frequency coupling unit to said first transponder received by said first holder.
A system, comprising:
- one or more RFID tags, each RFID tag comprising a first coupling portion;
- a wearable device comprising a holder for removably receiving one of said one or more RFID tags and a radio frequency coupling unit, said radio frequency coupling unit comprising a second coupling portion inductively coupled to said first coupling portion of said one of said one or more RFID tags received by said holder and an antenna portion connected to said coupling portion, said antenna portion being configured for coupling with an RFID reader.
A wristband, comprising:
- a pocket for removably receiving an RFID tag;
- a slot for inserting said RFID tag into said pocket, wherein said slot is approximately tangential to a circumference of said wristband, and a direction of insertion of said RFID tag into said slot is approximately parallel to an axial direction of said wristband;
- wherein said slot is arranged at a side of said wristband that is approximately perpendicular to said axial direction of said wristband.
