Abstract
An information apparatus comprises a controller including a processor and a memory, and the controller is configured to: obtain information of a printer; search, using the obtained information, for extension software for extending functions of a printer driver that generates a print command to be sent to the printer; install extension software found by the searching; and activate the installed extension software so that print options to be used for the printer driver to generate a print job to be sent to the printer are displayed.

An information apparatus comprising:
- a controller including a processor and a memory, the controller configured to:
- obtain information of a printer;
- search, using the obtained information, for extension software for extending functions of a printer driver that generates a print command to be sent to the printer;
- install extension software found by the searching;
- and
- activate the installed extension software so that print options to be used for the printer driver to generate a print job to be sent to the printer are displayed.
A method performed by an information apparatus comprising a controller including a processor and a memory, the method comprising:
- obtaining information of a printer;
- searching, using the obtained information, for extension software for extending functions of a printer driver that generates a print command to be sent to the printer;
- installing extension software found by the searching;
- and
- activating the installed extension software so that print options to be used for the printer driver to generate a print job to be sent to the printer are displayed.
A non-transitory storage medium having stored thereon a program for causing, when executed by an information apparatus, a controller of the information apparatus including a processor and a memory to perform:
- obtaining information of a printer;
- searching, using the obtained information, for extension software for extending functions of a printer driver that generates a print command to be sent to the printer;
- installing extension software found by the searching;
- and
- activating the installed extension software so that print options to be used for the printer driver to generate a print job to be sent to the printer are displayed.
