Abstract
A display device with a touch screen, which executes at least one application and a method for controlling the display device are provided. The method includes receiving an application execution command to execute at least one application, determining at least one of a size and a position of a window that executes the at least one application according to a position at which the application execution command is input, and displaying the window according to the at least one of the size and position of the window.
Claims14
A method of an electronic device with a touch display, the method comprising:
- displaying, on the touch display, a tray including a plurality of icons respectively corresponding to a plurality of applications, wherein the tray is partially overlapping a first execution screen associated with a first application and a second execution screen associated with a second application;
- receiving, through the touch display, a touch input for dragging a first icon from among the plurality of icons included in the tray toward the second execution screen, wherein the first icon is associated with a third application, wherein the third application is different from the first application and the second application;
- while receiving the touch input, displaying the second execution screen with a visual effect, wherein the visual effect indicates at least one of a size, a shape, or a position for a third execution screen associated with a third application;
- and
- based on a release of the touch input being detected, displaying the third execution screen associated with the third application at a location for the second execution screen while displaying the first execution screen associated with the first application.
An electronic device with a touch display, the electronic device comprising:
- a touch display;
- and
- one or more processors configured to control to:
- display, on the touch display, a tray including a plurality of icons respectively corresponding to a plurality of applications, wherein the tray is partially overlapping a first execution screen associated with a first application and a second execution screen associated with a second application,
- receive, through the touch display, a touch input for dragging a first icon from among the plurality of icons included in the tray toward the second execution screen, wherein the first icon is associated with a third application, wherein the third application is different from the first application and the second application,
- while receiving the touch input, display the second execution screen with a visual effect, wherein the visual effect indicates at least one of a size, a shape, or a position for a third execution screen associated with a third application, and
- based on a release of the touch input being detected, display the third execution screen associated with the third application at a location for the second execution screen while displaying the first execution screen associated with the first application.
