Abstract
An electronic device includes an interface unit having a first terminal and a second terminal, a determination unit that determines a power supply capability of an external device in accordance with a voltage of the second terminal, a power switching unit that determines a current in response to the voltage of the second terminal and a power supply capability of the external device, and a control unit that enables power supply from the external device to be performed with the determined current.

An electronic device comprising:
- an interface unit having a first terminal and a second terminal;
- a determination unit that determines a power supply capability of an external device in accordance with a voltage of the second terminal;
- a power switching unit that determines a current in response to the voltage of the second terminal and a power supply capability of the external device;
- and
- a control unit that enables power supply from the external device to be performed with the determined current.
