A method comprising:
- providing a weighted acid composition comprising an acid, a brine, and an amino acid and placing the weighted acid composition into a subterranean formation, wherein:
- the acid comprises formic acid or methane sulfonic acid;
- the brine comprises at least one salt selected from the group consisting of:
- zinc bromide, calcium bromide, sodium bromide and potassium bromide;
- the weighted acid composition has a density of above 9 pounds per gallon (lb/gal);
- and
- the amino acid comprises glycine.
