Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a medical product with a biodegradable portion. The biodegradable portion is made of a biodegradable material and the biodegradable portion degrades faster than the remaining portion of the medical product.

A polymer system comprising:
- a polymeric material;
- and
- a degradation agent incorporated into the polymeric material and configured to enhance the degradation of the polymeric material.
A polymer system comprised of:
- a polymeric material;
- and
- a degradation agent incorporated into the polymeric material and configured to enhance the degradation of the polymeric material, wherein the degradation agent is an active agent configured to activate when exposed to at least one stimulus, and
- wherein the polymeric material and degradation agent form a multilayered film.
