Abstract
Composition and methods that include oral care compositions that are a pre-treatment of the tooth surface to accelerate or catalyze teeth whitener compositions, the teeth whitener pre-treatment composition including a mixture of a metal salt catalyst and a pH adjuster.
Claims20
A teeth whitener pre-treatment composition, comprising:
- a. a metal salt catalyst in an amount of from about 0.05 wt % to about 20 wt %;
- and
- b. a pH adjuster in an amount of from about 5 wt % to about 99.5 wt %.
A teeth whitener pre-treatment composition, comprising:
- a. a metal salt catalyst including magnesium gluconate in an amount of from about 0.05 wt % to about 20 wt %;
- and
- b. a pH adjuster including sodium bicarbonate in an amount of from about 5 wt % to about 99.5 wt %.
A method of whitening teeth, comprising:
- a. applying a teeth whitener pre-treatment composition to a tooth surface, the teeth whitener pre-treatment composition comprising:
- i. a metal salt catalyst in an amount of from about 0.05 wt % to about 20 wt %;
- and
- ii. a pH adjuster in an amount of from about 5 wt % to about 99.5 wt %;
- b. applying a teeth whitener composition including an oxidizing agent to the tooth surface after the teeth whitener pre-treatment composition is applied.
