Abstract
In one aspect of the present invention, a base station includes an index generation unit configured to generate an index indicating a time-domain location of a synchronization signal block where a synchronization signal or a physical broadcast channel is placed; and a transmission unit configured to transmit a portion of the index using one or more synchronization signal of a primary synchronization signal, a secondary synchronization signal, and a tertiary synchronization signal and transmit a remaining portion of the index using the physical broadcast channel.

A terminal comprising:
- a receiver that receives at least one of a known sequence or broadcast information in a synchronization signal block, wherein the synchronization signal block comprises a synchronization signal and a physical broadcast channel;
- and
- a processor that determines an index of the synchronization signal block based on at least one of the known sequence or the broadcast information.
A base station comprising:
- a processor that establishes a portion of an index of a synchronization signal block in broadcast information, wherein the synchronization signal block comprises a synchronization signal and a physical broadcast channel;
- and
- a transmitter that transmits at least one of a known sequence or the broadcast information in the synchronization signal block.
