A method for assembling a linear actuator for adjustment of a first seat component of a motor vehicle seat in relation to a second seat component of the motor vehicle seat, said method comprising:
- introducing a first part of the linear actuator in a first alignment into a first bearing point of the first seat component, with the first bearing point being part of the first seat component or connected to the first seat component;
- changing the first alignment of the linear actuator to a second alignment;
- and
- fixing the linear actuator to the second seat component.
