Abstract
The use of xibornol as a virucidal agent is described in the prophylactic or therapeutic treatment of an infection caused by one or more viruses, said viruses comprising at least one of human Adenovirus, human Rhinovirus, human Coronavirus, and a combination thereof.

A method for the prophylactic or therapeutic treatment of an infection caused by one or more viruses, said viruses comprising at least one of human Adenovirus, human Rhinovirus, human Coronavirus, and a combination thereof, the method comprising the step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of xibornol, as a virucidal agent, to patients in need thereof.
