Abstract
Described herein are oral care compositions comprising a crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone complexed with hydrogen peroxide, together with particular co-polymers as additional excipients; including some embodiments which further comprise a calcium abrasive.

An oral care composition comprising:
- (i) a whitening complex comprising crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone complexed with hydrogen peroxide, wherein the whitening complex contains about 10-30% hydrogen peroxide, by weight, and about 5-15% total nitrogen by weight, and
- (ii) 25-40% by weight of humectants selected from propylene glycol, glycerin, and combinations thereof;
- (iii) 5-15% by weight of polyethylene glycol of average molecular weight 400 to 800 Da;
- and wherein the composition comprises 0.5 to 3% of total hydrogen peroxide by weight of the composition, and wherein the composition comprises less than 2% by weight of water;
- and
- (iv) 25-45% by weight of a calcium abrasive.
