Abstract
A permeable layer associated relative to a phase change material associated relative to a securing fabric layer. The permeable layer retains a therapeutic or cosmetic agent to be transferred, in whole or in part, to the user's skin. The phase change material may be dissolved within a thermoplastic matrix or situated within a suitable container. This invention provides the novelty of a phase change material, coupled with a permeable layer and a fabric layer, which work in conjunction with a therapeutic or cosmetic agent.

A thermally assisted therapeutic aid comprising:
- a composite article further comprising:
- a top layer comprising a therapeutic agent situated within a permeable material, G, the permeable material configured to allow the therapeutic agent to be transferred to a user's skin, in whole or in part, over a specified time interval;
- a middle layer comprising a phase change material, M, situated within an elastomeric matrix;
- and
- a bottom layer comprising a fabric material, F, further comprising a securing means;

- an upper layer comprising a therapeutic agent situated within a permeable material, the permeable material configured to allow the therapeutic agent to be transferred to a user's skin, in whole or in part, over a specified time interval;

- a lower layer comprising a phase change material situated within an elastomeric matrix.
A thermally assisted therapeutic aid comprising:
- a permeable material comprising a therapeutic agent;
- a phase change material;
- and
- a fabric configured to secure the aid relative to an appendage.
A method of applying a therapeutic aid to a user to assist in wound treatment and cosmetic care comprising:
- preparing a thermally assisted therapeutic aid further comprising:
- an upper layer comprising a therapeutic agent situated within a permeable material, the permeable material configured to allow the therapeutic agent to be transferred to a user's skin, in whole or in part, over a specified time interval;
- and
- a lower layer comprising a phase change material situated within an elastomeric matrix;
- and
- securing the aid relative to the user's skin.
