Expansible intersomatic cage

A expandable intervertebral implant comprising:

• a body extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end along an X-axis;
• a flexible arm movably coupled to the body to transition between a folded-back position and a deployed position, wherein in the deployed position the flexible arm deforms to form an arcuate shape to expand a lateral size of the expandable intervertebral implant along a Y-axis;
• and
• an expansion mechanism to manipulate a proximal end of the flexible arm relative to the distal end of the body to transition the flexible arm between the folded-back position and the deployed position.

An expandable intervertebral implant comprising:

• a body extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end along an X-axis, the body including a superior sub-portion and an inferior sub-portion pivotably coupled to the proximal end of the body;
• a first flexible arm movably coupled to the superior sub-portion to transition between a folded-back position and a deployed position, wherein in the deployed position the first flexible arm deforms to form an arcuate shape to expand a lateral size of the expandable intervertebral implant along a Y-axis;
• a second flexible arm movably coupled to the inferior sub-portion to transition between the folded-back position and the deployed position, wherein in the deployed position the second flexible arm deforms to form an arcuate shape to expand a lateral size of the expandable intervertebral implant along a Y-axis;
• and
• an expansion mechanism to manipulate proximal ends of the first flexible arm and the second flexible arm relative to a distal end of the body to transition the first flexible arm and the second flexible arm between the folded-back position and the deployed position.
