Abstract
Floodlight controllers with wireless audio/video recording and communication features in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, a floodlight controller for activating and deactivating a floodlight device may include a camera including an image sensor and having a field of view, a switch having an open condition and a closed condition, and a processor operatively connected to the camera and operatively connected to the switch, wherein the processor is configured to receive an input from the camera and produce an output to the switch to cause the switch to transition from the open condition to the closed condition.
Claims20
A floodlight controller, comprising:
- a camera having a field of view;
- a communication module;
- at least one motion sensor;
- a switch having an open condition and a closed condition;
- a processor operatively connected to the camera, the at least one motion sensor, and the switch;
- and
- memory storing a program executable by the processor, the program comprising instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the floodlight controller to:
- receive an input from the at least one motion sensor and produce an output to the switch in response to the input from the at least one motion sensor, the output to the switch including a command for the switch to transition from the open condition to the closed condition for activating at least one floodlight;
- and
- receive an input from the camera and, in response to the input from the camera, transmit video, using the communication module, to a cloud storage device.
A floodlight device, comprising:
- at least one floodlight;
- a camera having a field of view;
- a communication module;
- at least one motion sensor;
- a switch having an open condition and a closed condition;
- a processor operatively connected to the camera, the at least one motion sensor, and the switch;
- and
- memory storing a program executable by the processor, the program comprising instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the floodlight controller to:
- receive an input from the at least one motion sensor and produce an output to the switch in response to the input from the at least one motion sensor, the output to the switch including a command for the switch to transition from the open condition to the closed condition for activating the at least one floodlight;
- and
- receive an input from the camera and, in response to the input from the camera, transmit a notification, using the communication module, to a client device via a server.
