Abstract
The present image forming apparatus, in response to reception of facsimile data, outputs a monitoring sound at a predetermined sound volume, and displays a setting input screen for adjusting the sound volume on a display unit.

An image forming apparatus, comprising:
- a reception unit that receives facsimile data;
- an audio output unit that, in response to reception of the facsimile data by the reception unit, outputs a monitoring sound at a predetermined sound volume;
- and
- a control unit that, in response to the reception of the facsimile data by the reception unit, displays on a display unit a setting input screen for adjusting the sound volume.

A method of controlling an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:
- receiving facsimile data;
- in response to reception of the facsimile data, outputting a monitoring sound at a predetermined sound volume;
- and
- in response to the reception of the facsimile data, displaying on a display unit a setting input screen for adjusting the sound volume.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program for causing a computer to execute each step of a method of controlling an apparatus, the method comprising:
