Systems and methods for managing vehicles

An apparatus, comprising:

• one or more computer processors to:
• receive a first message on a first channel of a plurality of channels, wherein the first channel is associated with a vehicle that is traveling on a route and wherein the first message comprises a request to prioritize a first geographical location of the route;
• determine whether the first geographical location can be prioritized;
• and
• in response to determining that the first geographical location can be prioritized, publish a second message to a second channel of the plurality of channels, wherein the vehicle is a subscriber to the second channel and wherein the second message indicates an updated route for the vehicle where the first geographical location is prioritized.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instruction stored thereon that, when executed by one or more computer processors, cause the one or more computer processors to:

• receive a first message on a first channel of a plurality of channels, wherein the first channel is associated with a vehicle that is traveling on a route and wherein the first message comprises a request to prioritize a first geographical location of the route;
• determine whether the first geographical location can be prioritized;
• and
• in response to determining that the first geographical location can be prioritized, publish a second message to a second channel of the plurality of channels, wherein the vehicle is a subscriber to the second channel and wherein the second message indicates an updated route for the vehicle where the first geographical location is prioritized.
