Transmitter and method for generating additional parity thereof

A receiving apparatus being operable in a mode among a plurality of modes, the receiving apparatus comprising:

• a receiver configured to receive a signal from a transmitting apparatus;
• a demodulator configured to demodulate the signal to generate values based on a on 64-quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) of the mode;
• an inserter configured to insert predetermined values to the values;
• a parity depermutator configured to split the values to which the predetermined values are inserted into a plurality of groups, deinterleave the plurality of groups based on a permutation order of the mode, and deinterleave one or more values among values of the deinterleaved plurality of groups to provide deinterleaved values;
• and
• a decoder configured to decode the deinterleaved values based on a low density parity check (LDPC) code having a code rate being 6/15 of the mode and a code length being 16200 bits of the mode,
• wherein the predetermined values correspond to parity bits punctured in the transmitting apparatus,
• wherein values of a 25-th group, a 42-th group, a 34-th group, a 18-th group, a 32-th group, a 38-th group, a 23-th group, a 30-th group, a 28-th group, a 36-th group and a 41-th group among the deinterleaved plurality of groups comprise the predetermined values, and
• wherein the parity bits punctured in the transmitting apparatus are determined based on the permutation order of the mode and a number of the parity bits to be punctured.
