System and method for financial transactions

A financial transaction computing system comprising:

• an automated transaction machine (ATM), having one or more processors, a first transceiver, one or more cash cassettes, a slot exposed on an exterior of said ATM and communicating with said one or more cash cassettes, and an advanced function dispenser at least configured to move banknotes from said one or more cash cassettes to said slot, wherein said first transceiver is configured to transmit and receive communications over at least a wireless public network, said ATM is configured to be engaged by a user to request completion of at least one pre-staged financial transaction, said ATM is also configured to receive a token from the user as the request for completion of the at least one pre-staged financial transaction, and said ATM is also configured to transmit the token over the wireless public network in response to receipt of the token from the user;
• a financial institution core having one or more processors and a first memory, said first memory storing a primary ledger of an account associated with the user and details of transactions associated with the account including details of the at least one pre-staged financial transaction;
• an ATM services module having one or more processors and a second transceiver, said ATM services module configured to communicate with said financial institution core over a private network distinct from the wireless public network, said second transceiver configured to receive communications from said ATM over a first network applying at least one of ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 protocols, said first network distinct from said private network and from the wireless public network, said ATM services module configured to forward communications received from said ATM to said financial institution core for approval and to communicate authorizations to dispense currency from said financial institution core to said ATM over the first network;
• a queuing services module having one or more processors, a second memory, and a third transceiver, said queuing services module configured to receive pre-staged financial transactions from said financial institution core including the at least one pre-staged financial transaction of the user, said queuing services module and said financial institution core communicating with one another over said private network, one of said queuing services module and said financial institution core configured to generate the token associated with the at least one pre-staged financial transaction of the user;
• a pre-staging module, having one or more processors, a third memory, and a fourth transceiver, said fourth transceiver configured to receive the token and details of the at least one pre-staged financial transaction of the user from said queuing service module, said pre-staging module and said queuing service module communicating with one another over a second network distinct from said private network, said pre-staging module excluded from said private network, said pre-staging module configured to store the token and the details of the at least one pre-staged financial transaction of the user in said third memory, said pre-staging module also configured to communicate with said ATM over the wireless public network to receive the token from said ATM over the wireless public network, said pre-staging module also configured to retrieve the token and the details of the at least one pre-staged financial transaction from said third memory in response to receiving the token from said ATM over the wireless public network, said pre-staging module also configured to confirm identity between the token received from the ATM against the token stored in third memory, said pre-staging module also configured to generate and selectively transmit an execution directive over the wireless public network to said ATM in response to confirming identity between the token received from the ATM and the token stored in third memory, and wherein the execution directive includes at least some of the details of the at least one pre-staged financial transaction requested by the user;
• and
• wherein said ATM is further configured to execute the at least one pre-staged financial transaction in response to receiving the execution directive from said pre-staging module.
