Dynamically transferring data from a spreadsheet to a remote application

A non-transitory computer-readable medium, having stored thereon, a sequence of computer-executable instructions which causes a computer to perform the steps, comprising:

• scanning a spreadsheet in order to identify potential record cells;
• selectively converting each identified potential record cell into an actual record cell in said spreadsheet for a remote application;
• identifying record attributes associated with each said actual record cell, wherein
• the selective conversion of each identified potential record cell into the actual record cell comprises retrieval of data in plurality of cells in the spreadsheet based on a save map component associated with the spreadsheet and based on at least one user input corresponding to a selection from a list of predefined records associated with a plurality of predefined tables included in the remote application, and wherein the remote application is associated with a database for exchange of data, wherein the predefined tables are saved in at least one state;
• executing a record construction component associated with the spreadsheet, wherein the record construction component assembles a record for the remote application based on the record attributes of each said actual record cell;
• and
• transmitting the assembled record to the remote application.

A system communicably connected to a remote application through a network, the system, comprising:

• a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, wherein the system is configured to:
• scan a spreadsheet in order to identify potential record cells;
• selectively convert each identified potential record cell into an actual record cell in said spreadsheet for said remote application;
• identify record attributes associated with each said actual record cell, wherein
• the selective conversion of each identified potential record cell into the actual record cell comprises retrieval of data in plurality of cells in the spreadsheet based on a save map component associated with the spreadsheet and based on at least one user input corresponding to a selection from a list of predefined records associated with a plurality of predefined tables included in the remote application, and wherein the remote application is associated with a database for exchange of data, wherein the predefined tables are saved in at least one state;
• execute a record construction component associated with the spreadsheet, wherein the record construction component assembles a record for the remote application based on the record attributes of each said actual record cell;
• and
• transmit the assembled record to the remote application.
