Digital task management using an intermediary single-account issue inbox system

A system, comprising:

• an intermediary single-account issue inbox system having intermediary single-account issue inbox system non-transient storage, the intermediary single-account issue inbox system being coupled to an electronic mail server and a shared issue tracking system and a shared issue tracking system via a network, executing using the one or more computing devices, the one or more computing devices being configured to execute intermediary single-account issue inbox system instructions, which, when execute cause the intermediary single-account issue inbox system to perform a process of:
• receiving an email message for a particular user account;
• in response to receiving the email message for the particular user account, creating a task item related to the email message and associated the task item with an initial state value, wherein each task item is a digital ticket in the shared issue tracking system, and the digital ticket has a digital state value associated with that task item, and associating the task items with the initial state value comprises setting the digital state value as the initial state value;
• adding the task items to a list of task items stored in the shared issue tracking system storage, the list of task items being related to the particular user account, wherein each task item has a digital state value associated with that task item, wherein the digital state value is selected from a plurality of possible digital state values, comprising at least one of the initial state value, a worklist state value, a follow up state value, and an archive state value;
• causing display of the list of task items with the initial state value related to the particular user account;
• causing display of user interaction controls for the list of task items with the initial state value;
• receiving a first state-change interaction indication for a first particular task item in the list of task items with the initial state value, wherein the first state-change interaction indication indicates a change in digital state value for the first particular task item from the initial state value to one of the archive state value, the follow up state value, or the worklist state value;
• in response to receiving the first state-change interaction indication, changing the state value of the first particular task item's digital state value in the shared issue tracking system storage as indicated in the first state-change interaction indication and sending to the shared issue tracking system digital communication related to the first state-change interaction indication for the first particular task item;
• receiving an indication to display a list of task items with the follow up state value;
• in response to receiving the indication to display the list of task items with the follow up state value, causing display of the list of task items with the follow up state value;
• receiving a second state-change interaction indication for a second particular task item in the list of task items with the follow up state value, wherein the second state-change interaction indication indicates a change in digital state for the second particular task item from the follow up state value to one of the archive state value, the initial state value, or the worklist state value;
• in response to receiving the second state-change interaction indication, changing the state value of the second particular task item's digital state value in the shared issue tracking system storage as indicated in the second state-change interaction indication and sending to the shared issue tracking system digital communication related to the second state-change interaction indication for the second particular task item;
• receiving an indication to display a list of task items with the worklist state value;
• in response to receiving the indication to display the list of task items with the worklist state value, causing display of the list of task items with the worklist state value;
• receiving a third state-change interaction indication for a third particular task item in the list of task items with the worklist state value, wherein the third state-change interaction indication indicates a change in digital state value for the third particular task item from the follow up state value to one of the archive state value, the initial state value, or the follow up state value;
• in response to receiving the third state-change interaction indication, changing the state value of the third particular task item's digital state value in the shared issue tracking system storage as indicated in the third state-change interaction indication and sending to the shared issue tracking system digital communication related to the third state-change interaction indication for the third particular task item;
• the shared issue tracking system with shared issue tracking system non-transient storage, coupled to the intermediary single-account issue inbox system via the network, executing using the one or more computing devices, the one or more computing devices being configured to execute shared issue tracking system instructions, which, when execute cause the shared issue tracking system to perform a third process of:
• receiving a particular state-change indication for a particular task item;
• in response to receiving the particular state-change indication for the particular task item, changing a digital issue tracking record associated with the particular task item in the shared issue tracking system storage to reflect the particular state-change indication for the particular task item.
