Abstract
According to an embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes a case that houses an image forming device and a fixing device, a first fan provided in the case, and a controller. The first fan generates a first airflow flowing in a predetermined direction in the case. The controller controls a heating temperature of the fixing device and a rotation speed of the first fan corresponding to an operation mode of the image forming apparatus.
Claims10
An image forming apparatus, comprising:
- an image forming device that forms a toner image on a sheet;
- a fixing device that fixes the toner image on the sheet by heating the sheet on which the toner image is formed by the image forming device;
- a case that houses the image forming device and the fixing device;
- a first fan that generates a first airflow flowing in a predetermined direction in the case;
- and
- a controller configured to control a heating temperature of the fixing device to a temperature corresponding to an operation mode of the image forming apparatus and control a rotation speed of the first fan corresponding to the operation mode of the image forming apparatus.

An image forming method, comprising:
- forming a toner image on a sheet by an image forming device;
- heating by a fixing device the sheet on which the toner image is formed to fix the toner image on the sheet;
- generating a first airflow flowing in a predetermined direction by a first fan in a case that houses the image forming device and the fixing device;
- controlling a heating temperature of the fixing device to a temperature corresponding to an operation mode of the image forming apparatus;
- and
- controlling a rotation speed of the first fan to a rotation speed corresponding to the operation mode of the image forming apparatus.
