System Controller for Expelling Projectiles at Varying Safer Levels from a Projectile Accelerator

Abstract

A projectile accelerating control system that includes a projectile accelerator and/or associated projectile equipment configured to provisionally lower the velocity and/or energy level, where said provisionally lower level is below the set upper velocity and/or energy limit. One aspect or feature of said accelerating system includes a means that indicates the amount of reduction from the upper velocity and/or energy limit. The accelerating control system includes adjustment mechanisms and/or methods that allow the impact energy of a projectile to be reduced from the upper impact limit associated with the upper velocity and/or energy limit. The accelerating control system includes adjustment mechanisms and/or methods that include a controller configured to allow the selective selection of a velocity and/or energy levels that fall below a upper velocity setting and/or energy level. Where the said upper velocity setting and/or energy level is a setting or level that falls below the maximum velocity and/or the maximum energy level of the projectile accelerator.
