Abstract
Described herein are embodiments of a top cover for an outdoor HVAC unit. The top cover may comprise a dome-shaped top surface; outer edges surrounding the dome-shaped top surface; at least one ventilated grille disposed between the outer edges and the outdoor unit; and a plurality of channels configured to drain water from the dome-shaped top surface and away from the at least one ventilated grille.
Claims20
A top cover for an outdoor heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit, the top cover comprising:
- a dome-shaped top surface;
- outer edges surrounding the dome-shaped top surface;
- at least one ventilated grille disposed between the outer edges and the outdoor unit;
- and
- a plurality of channels configured to drain water from the dome-shaped top surface and away from the at least one ventilated grille.
The top cover of claim 8, wherein the dome-shaped top surface and the outer edges define at least one groove configured to fluidly connect to the plurality of drain holes.
A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system, comprising:
- an outdoor unit;
- and
- a top cover configured to shield an interior of the outdoor unit, the top cover comprising:
- a dome-shaped top surface;
- outer edges surrounding the dome-shaped top surface;
- at least one ventilated grille disposed between the outer edges and the outdoor unit;
- and
- a plurality of channels configured to drain water from the dome-shaped top surface and away from the at least one ventilated grille.
The HVAC system of claim 18, wherein the dome-shaped top surface and the outer edges define at least one groove configured to fluidly connect to the plurality of drain holes.
