Hinge for saloon-type lavatory door

A hinge assembly comprising:

• a frame adapter that includes a curved inner surface that defines a first apex, wherein the curved inner surface includes a front portion and a rear portion, wherein the frame adapter includes a flat surface that is generally parallel to a line tangent to the first apex,
• a door adapter that includes a curved outer surface that defines a second apex, wherein the curved outer surface includes a front portion and a rear portion, wherein the door adapter includes a flat surface that is generally parallel to a line tangent to the second apex, wherein the curved outer surface of the door adapter opposes the curved inner surface of the frame adapter,
• a plurality of alternating front hinge strips and rear hinge strips, wherein the front hinge strips extend along a front hinge strip path, wherein the front hinge strip path extends from the flat surface of the door adapter to the front portion of the curved outer surface of the door adapter to the rear portion of the curved inner surface of the frame adapter and to the flat surface of the frame adapter, wherein the rear hinge strip path extends from the flat surface of the door adapter to the rear portion of the curved outer surface of the door adapter to the front portion of the curved inner surface of the frame adapter and to the flat surface of the frame adapter,
• wherein the door adapter is movable relative to the frame adapter between a front open position, a closed position and a rear open position, and wherein the front hinge strips and the rear hinge strips bias the door adapter to the closed position.
