Microbiocidal oxadiazole derivatives

A compound of formula (I):

• wherein
• n represents 0 or 1;
• A1 represents N or CR1, wherein R1 is hydrogen, halogen, methyl, ethyl, difluoromethyl, or difluoromethoxy;
• A2 represents N or CR2, wherein R2 is hydrogen, halogen, methyl, ethyl, difluoromethyl, or difluoromethoxy;
• R3 and R4 independently represent hydrogen or halogen;
• R5 and R6 independently represent hydrogen or methyl;
• R7 is hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, C1-4alkylcarbonyl, C1-4alkylaminocarbonylC1-4alkyl, di-C1-4 alkylaminocarbonylC1-4alkyl, C1-4alkylaminocarbonyl, phenylcarbonyl, or C3-6cycloalkyl;
• Z represents —NR8R9, wherein
• R8 represents hydrogen or C1-4alkyl;
• R9 represents hydrogen, C1-4alkyl, C3-6alkenyl, C3-6alkynyl, C1-4haloalkyl, cyanoC1-6alkyl, hydroxyC1-6alkyl, C1-4alkoxyC1-6alkyl, C1-2fluoroalkoxyC1-6alkyl, C1-4alkylcarbonyl, C1-4alkylcarbonylC1-6alkyl, C1-4haloalkylcarbonyl, C1-4haloalkylaminocarbonyl, C1-4alkoxycarbonyl, C1-4alkoxycarbonylC1-6alkyl, C1-4alkylaminocarbonyl, di-C1-4alkylaminocarbonyl, C1-4alkylaminothiocarbonyl, di-C1-4alkylaminothiocarbonyl, C3-8cycloalkyl, C3-8cycloalkylC1-3alkyl, phenyl, phenylC1-3alkyl, phenylcarbonyl, heteroaryl, heteroarylC1-3alkyl, heteroarylcarbonyl, wherein the heteroaryl moiety is a 5- or 6-membered aromatic ring which comprises 1, 2, 3 or 4 heteroatoms individually selected from N, O and S, heterocyclyl, heterocyclylC1-3alkyl, wherein the heterocyclyl moiety is a 4- to 6-membered non-aromatic ring which comprises 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms individually selected from N, O and S, or heterobicyclyl, wherein the heterobicyclyl moiety is a 7- to 11-membered aromatic, saturated or partially saturated fused ring system which comprises 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms selected from N, O and S, and wherein any of said cycloalkyl, phenyl, heteroaryl, heterocyclyl or heterobicyclyl moieties is optionally substituted by 1, 2, 3 or 4 substituents, which may be the same or different, selected from R10;
• R10 represents cyano, amino, halogen, hydroxy, C1-4alkyl, methoxy, ethoxy, allyl, propargyl, difluoromethyl, trifluoromethyl, or difluoromethoxy;
• or
• R8 and R9, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a 5- or 6-membered non-aromatic heterocyclic ring which optionally additionally comprises 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms individually selected from N, O and S, wherein the heterocyclic ring is optionally substituted by 1, 2, 3, or 4 substituents, which may be the same or different, selected from R11;
• or
• R8 and R9, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a 7- to 11-membered heteroaromatic or non-aromatic heterocyclic fused ring system which optionally additionally comprises 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms individually selected from N, O and S, wherein said heteroaromatic or heterocyclic fused ring system is optionally substituted by 1, 2, 3, or 4 substituents, which may be the same or different, selected from R11;
• and
• R11 represents cyano, amino, halogen, hydroxy, C1-4alkyl, C1-2fluoroalkyl, C1-4alkoxy, C1-2alkoxyC1-4alkyl, allyl, or propargyl and R11 may also represent oxo on a non-aromatic heterocyclic moiety;
• or a salt or an N-oxide thereof;
• with the proviso that the compound of formula (I) is not:
• N′-benzoyl-4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzohydrazide;
• 1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-3-[[4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzoyl]amino]urea;
• N-morpholin-4-yl-4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzamide;
• N′-(3-methylphenyl)-4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzohydrazide;
• 4-methyl-N′-[4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzoyl]-1,3-thiazole-5-carbohydrazide;
• 3-methyl-N′-[4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzoyl]thiophene-2-carbohydrazide;
• 4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzohydrazide;
• or
• 4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]benzohydrazide hydrochloride salt.
