The present invention provides tertiary amine core-bearing acrylamides and their use in adhesive formulations, particularly including dental adhesives.

A compound comprising Formula (I):
- wherein:
- R1 and R2 are independently C1-C4 alkyl;
- R3 is selected from C1-C4 alkyl and a group of the formula:
- n is an integer selected from 0 and 1;
- n1, n2, and n3 are each independently integers selected from the group of 2, 3, and 4;
- and
- R4 is C1-C4 alkyl;
- with the proviso that, when n=0, the sum of n1+n2 is 3, 5, or 7.
