Abstract
Methods and tools are disclosed for treating chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia in a patient by diverting cerebrospinal fluid from the cerebral ventricles or the spinal subarachnoid space of the patient.

A method of treating chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) or fibromyalgia in a patient, the method comprising diverting a fraction of CSF from the cerebral ventricles or the spinal subarachnoid space of said patient to a different location, thereby reducing or preventing the symptoms of CFS or fibromyalgia.
