Surgical drape with separable elements

A surgical drape, comprising:

• a predetermined length between a first end and a second end and a predetermined width between a third end and a fourth end, the predetermined length being greater than the predetermined width;
• and
• a selectively separable portion extending between the first end and the second end along a substantial portion of the predetermined length, the selectively separable portion intersecting a lateral point proximal to a midpoint of the predetermined width and comprising a first bifurcated edge at the third end and a second bifurcated edge at the fourth end, each of the first and second bifurcated edges having a superior portion and an inferior portion,
• wherein the first and second bifurcated edges are adapted to contact each other in a double-overlap manner to create four distinct layers, and
• wherein at least a portion of the drape is substantially transmissive to a radiographic signal.
