Methods and apparatus for treating vertebral fractures

A method of manufacturing a containment jacket, the containment jacket comprising a dividing wall that separates an interior of the containment jacket into a proximal region and a distal region, the dividing wall having an opening for providing access to the distal region from the proximal region, and wherein the containment jacket comprises a longitudinal axis along which an inner lumen extends therethrough, and the dividing wall extends in a direction from an upper surface of the containment jacket down towards the inner lumen and from the inner lumen down towards a lower surface of the containment jacket, the method comprising:

• providing a first layer having an upper face and a lower face;
• providing a second layer having edges;
• providing a third layer;
• welding together the first layer and the second layer along a weld line at one of the edges of the second layer and across the upper face of the first layer;
• cutting the first layer along a cut line;
• and
• welding the upper face of the first layer to the upper face of the second layer at the cut line.
