Tobacco blend

A device for generating an inhalable medium, the device comprising:

• a container for holding a liquid;
• a heater for volatilizing the liquid held in the container;
• a chamber containing a tobacco composition, wherein the tobacco composition includes:
• 50-85% by weight of a first tobacco component that has been air-cured, fire-cured, or both air-cured and fire-cured;
• 0-50% by weight of a second tobacco component that has been flue-cured, sun-cured, or both flue-cured and sun-cured, wherein the second tobacco component has not been subjected to a further treatment which affects the flavor properties thereof, and
• 0-50% by weight of a third tobacco component that has been flue-cured, sun-cured, or both flue-cured and sun-cured, wherein the third tobacco component has been further treated to enhance the flavor properties of tobacco;
• and
• an outlet;
• the container, the heater, and the chamber being arranged such that an inhalable medium can pass out of the outlet upon vaporization of the liquid by the heater, the inhalable medium comprising one or more constituents of the tobacco composition and the volatilized liquid in the form of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol.

A cartridge for use in a device for heating tobacco material, the cartridge containing a tobacco composition comprising:

• 50-85% by weight of a first tobacco component that has been air-cured, fire-cured, or both air-cured and fire-cured;
• 0-50% by weight of a second tobacco component that has been flue-cured, sun-cured, or both flue-cured and sun-cured, wherein the second tobacco component has not been subjected to a further treatment which affects the flavor properties thereof, and
• 0-50% by weight of a third tobacco component that has been flue-cured, sun-cured, or both flue-cured and sun-cured, wherein the third tobacco component has been further treated to enhance the flavor properties of tobacco;
• and

A method of generating an inhalable medium using an apparatus comprising a container holding a liquid, a heater for volatilizing the liquid, a tobacco composition, and an outlet, the method comprising:

• volatilizing the liquid held in the container;
• forming an inhalable medium, the inhalable medium comprising (a) the volatilized liquid in the form of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol and (b) one or more constituents of the tobacco composition;
• and
• passing the inhalable medium out of the outlet,
• wherein the tobacco material comprises:
• 50-85% by weight of a first tobacco component that has been air-cured, fire-cured, or both air-cured and fire-cured;
• 0-50% by weight of a second tobacco component that has been flue-cured, sun-cured, or both flue-cured and sun-cured, wherein the second tobacco component has not been subjected to a further treatment which affects the flavor properties thereof, and
• 0-50% by weight of a third tobacco component that has been flue-cured, sun-cured, or both flue-cured and sun-cured, wherein the third tobacco component has been further treated to enhance the flavor properties.
