Abstract
A disposable placemat system is provided. The disposable placemat system includes a sheet of a first material having a front surface and a back surface opposite to the front surface. The disposable placemat system includes a sheet of a second material attached to the sheet of the first material at the front surface. The first material is liquid impermeable and different from the second material. The second material is absorbent and configured to absorb a fluid used in conjunction with a medical procedure utilizing acoustic energy to monitor a subject.
Claims20
A placemat system, comprising:
- a sheet of a first material having a front surface and a back surface opposite to the front surface, wherein the first material is liquid impermeable;
- and
- a sheet of a second material attached to the sheet of the first material at the front surface of the first material, wherein the second material is absorbent and an exposed portion of the front surface of the sheet of the first material is uncovered by the sheet of the second material.
A method of manufacturing a placemat system, comprising:
- providing a sheet of a first material having a front surface and a back surface opposite to the front surface, wherein the first material is liquid impermeable;
- and
- providing a sheet of a second material attached to the sheet of the first material at the front surface of the first material, wherein the second material is absorbent and an exposed portion of the front surface of the sheet of the first material is uncovered by the sheet of the second material.
