Abstract
An image processing device includes: a sensor that reads a print region and a non-print region of a print medium, an image being printed in the print region, the non-print region being a blank area; and a controller that makes shading correction for an output from the sensor, based on a read result from the sensor. The controller sets a patch image printed in the print region to a black reference, sets the non-print region to a white reference, and makes the shading correction, based on properties of the black reference and the white reference at individual locations.
Claims11
An image processing device comprising:
- a sensor that reads a print region and a non-print region of a print medium, an image being printed in the print region, the non-print region being a blank area;
- and
- a controller that makes shading correction for an output from the sensor, based on a read result from the sensor,
- the controller setting a patch image printed in the print region to a black reference, the controller setting the non-print region to a white reference, the controller making the shading correction, based on properties of the black reference and the white reference at individual locations.
A non-transitory computer-readable computer medium storing an image processing program causing a computer to function as a controller that makes shading correction for an output from a sensor, based on a read result from the sensor, the sensor reading a print region and a non-print region of a print medium, an image being printed in the print region, the non-print region being a blank area, wherein
- the controller causes the computer to set a patch image printed in the print region to a black reference, to set the non-print region to a white reference, and to make the shading correction, based on properties of the black reference and the white reference at individual locations.
A method of generating readout data, in which a sensor reads a print region and a non-print region of a print medium, an image being printed in the print region, the non-print region being a blank area and in which shading correction is made for an output of the sensor, based on a read result from the sensor, the method comprising:
- setting a patch image printed in the print region to a black reference;
- setting the non-print region to a white reference;
- and
- making the shading correction, based on properties of the black reference and the white reference at individual locations to generate the readout data.
