## Abstract

A computing device includes memory for storing commercial metadata and offer metadata harvested from within an offer distribution network. A processor compares the commercial metadata related to a broadcast commercial to be streamed to a client media device with the offer metadata related to available offers from offer providers, to generate a comparison. The processor then selects an offer from the available offers based on the comparison; determines when and over what video stream the broadcast commercial is to be streamed; detects that a screen device is paired to the client media device; and delivers the offer to a display of the screen device during streaming of the broadcast commercial over the video stream to the client media device. When a user of the screen device selects an indicia of the offer, the offer is collected into a virtual wallet from which the offer can be redeemed in various ways.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method comprising:
receiving, at a computing system:
media content from a broadcast stream to be streamed to a client media device, and
available offers from at least one offer provider of an offer distribution network;
identifying, by the computing system, using automatic content recognition, media content metadata related to the media content;
determining, by the computing system, using the identified media content metadata, that an offer of the available offers is a direct offer or an indirect offer; and
responsive to determining that the offer of the available offers is a direct offer or an indirect offer, automatically delivering, by the computing system, the offer to the client media device for display by the client media device during streaming of the media content.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using the identified media content metadata, that the offer of the available offers is the direct offer or the indirect offer comprises:
determining that the offer has offer metadata matching at least a portion the identified media content metadata, the identified media content metadata defining a brand or an entity associated with the media content; and
in response to determining that the offer has the offer metadata matching at least the portion the identified media content metadata, determining that the offer is the direct offer.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein determining, using the identified media content metadata, that the offer of the available offers is the direct offer or the indirect offer comprises:
determining that the offer has offer metadata indicating a commercial relationship with a brand or an entity associated with the media content; and
in response to determining that the offer has offer metadata indicating the commercial relationship with the brand or the entity associated with the media content, determining that the offer is the indirect offer.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the media content includes one or more of a media program or a broadcast commercial.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
delivering, by the computing system, the offer over a personal area network to a display of a screen device during streaming of the media content; and
determining, by the computing system, that the offer has been selected at the screen device for redemption of the offer; and
in response to determining that the offer has been selected at the screen device for redemption of the offer, transferring, by the computing system, the offer to a virtual wallet accessible by the screen device.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the offer is automatically delivered with an identifier configured to track redemption of the offer.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
determining, by the computing system, that the offer comprises offer metadata that matches user metadata indicating a preference for offer content,
wherein the user metadata comprises at least one of a user purchase history, user geo-location information, or user demographics.

### Claim 8

determining, by the computing system, using the identified media content metadata, that an offer of the available offers is a direct offer or an indirect offer; and
responsive to determining that the offer of the available offers is a direct offer or an indirect offer, automatically delivering, by the computing system, the offer to the client media device for display by the client media device during streaming of the media content.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8, wherein determining, using the identified media content metadata, that the offer of the available offers is the direct offer or the indirect offer comprises:
determining that the offer has offer metadata matching at least a portion the identified media content metadata, the identified media content metadata defining a brand or an entity associated with the media content; and
in response to determining that the offer has the offer metadata matching at least the portion the identified media content metadata, determining that the offer is the direct offer.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)
