The information processing apparatus causes the first application program to issue a request for activating the second application program and activates the second application program so as to execute a process of obtaining content from the external apparatus through communication with the external apparatus. After obtaining the content from the external apparatus, the information processing apparatus causes the second application program to issue a request for activating the first application program and activates the first application program so as to execute the output process on the content obtained from the external apparatus. ## Claims ### Claim 1 An information processing apparatus including a first application program for executing a process of outputting content and a second application program for executing a process of obtaining the content from an external apparatus, the information processing apparatus comprising: a first request unit configured to issue a request for activating the second application program in accordance with the first application program; a first activation unit configured to activate the second application program in response to the request for activating the second application program; an obtaining processing unit configured to communicate with the external apparatus and execute a process of obtaining the content from the external apparatus in accordance with the activated second application program; a second request unit configured to issue a request for activating the first application program in accordance with the second application program after the content is obtained from the external apparatus; a second activation unit configured to activate the first application program in response to the request for activating the first application program; and an output processing unit configured to execute an output process on the content obtained from the external apparatus in accordance with the first application program. ### Claim 2 (depends on 1) The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first and second activation units display a screen of the second application program and a screen of the first application program, respectively, in a foreground. ### Claim 3 (depends on 1) The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein an identifier of the first application program is issued when the first request unit issues the request for activating the second application program, and wherein the second activation unit activates the first application program based on the identifier. ### Claim 4 (depends on 3) The information processing apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the identifier specifies a state of the first application program. ### Claim 5 (depends on 1) The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: a selection unit configured to select whether a request for activating the first application program is to be issued in accordance with the second application program in response to a user operation after the content is obtained from the external apparatus, wherein the second request unit issues a request for activating the first application program in accordance with a result of the selection. ### Claim 6 (depends on 1) The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: a generation unit configured to generate information on the obtained content in accordance with the second application program; and a storage unit configured to store the generated information in a storage medium such that the information is usable by the first application program, wherein the second request unit is capable of issuing the activation request when the obtaining processing unit executes a process of obtaining at least one content, and wherein the output processing unit obtains the content obtained from the external apparatus based on the stored information and executes an output process. ### Claim 7 (depends on 6) The information processing apparatus according to claim 6, further comprising a notification controller configured to perform control such that notification is performed after a process of obtaining remaining content from the external apparatus is terminated which is performed by the obtaining processing unit while the first application program is operated. ### Claim 8 (depends on 6) The information processing apparatus according to claim 6, further comprising a communication controller configured to perform control such that communication with the external apparatus is disconnected after a process of obtaining remaining content from the external apparatus is terminated which is performed by the obtaining processing unit while the first application program is operated. ### Claim 9 A method for controlling an information processing apparatus including a first application program for executing a process of outputting content and a second application program for executing a process of obtaining the content from an external apparatus, the method comprising: issuing a request for activating the second application program in accordance with the first application programs; activating the second application program in response to the request for activating the second application program; communicating with the external apparatus and executing a process of obtaining the content from the external apparatus in accordance with the activated second application programs; issuing a request for activating the first application program in accordance with the second application program after the content is obtained from the external apparatus; activating the first application program in response to the request for activating the first application program; and executing an output process on the content obtained from the external apparatus in accordance with the first application program. ### Claim 10 A storage medium storing a computer readable program that causes a computer to execute: issuing a request for activating another program for executing a process of obtaining content from an external apparatus; receiving an activation request after the other activated program obtains the content from the external apparatus; performing activation in response to the activation request; and executing an output process on the content obtained from the external apparatus. ### Claim 11 (depends on 10) The storage medium according to claim 10 storing a program, wherein a screen of the program is displayed in a foreground when the program is activated. ### Claim 12 (depends on 10) The storage medium according to claim 10 storing a program, wherein an identifier of the program is issued when the request for activating the other program is issued, and wherein the program is activated based on the identifier. ### Claim 13 (depends on 12) The storage medium according to claim 12 storing a program, wherein the identifier specifies a state of the program. ### Claim 13 (depends on 14) The storage medium according to claim 14 storing a program comprising: executing a process of obtaining remaining content from the external apparatus while the other program operates; and performing control such that notification is performed after the process of obtaining remaining content is terminated. ### Claim 14 A storage medium storing a computer readable program that causes a computer to execute: receiving an activation request from another program which executes an output process on content; performing activation in response to the activation request; and communicating with an external apparatus and executing a process of obtaining the content from the external apparatus; and issuing a request for activating the other program after the content is obtained from the external apparatus, wherein the content obtained from the external apparatus is subjected to the output process in accordance with the other activated program. ### Claim 15 (depends on 14) The storage medium according to claim 14 storing a program, wherein a screen of the program is displayed in a foreground when the program is activated. ### Claim 16 (depends on 14) The storage medium according to claim 14 storing a program, further comprising: selecting whether a request for activating the other program is to be issued in response to a user operation after the content is obtained from the external apparatus, wherein the request for activating the other program is issued in accordance with a result of the selection. ### Claim 17 (depends on 14) The storage medium according to claim 14 storing a program, further comprising: generating information on the obtained content; and storing the generated information in the storage medium such that the information is usable by the other program, wherein the request for activating the other program is issued when a process of obtaining at least one content is executed, and wherein the output process is executed on the content obtained from the external apparatus based on the stored information. ### Claim 19 (depends on 14) The storage medium according to claim 14 storing a program comprising: executing a process of obtaining remaining content from the external apparatus while the other program operates; and performing control such that communication with the external apparatus is disconnected when the process of obtaining remaining content is terminated.
