Abstract
The present disclosure is drawn to material sets for 3-dimensional printing. The material set can include a thermoplastic polymer powder having an average particle size from 20 μm to 200 μm, a conductive fusing agent composition including a transition metal, and nonconductive fusing agent composition. The nonconductive fusing agent composition can include transition metal oxide bronze particles.
Claims15
A material set, comprising:
- a thermoplastic polymer powder having an average particle size from 20 μm to 200 μm;
- a conductive fusing agent composition comprising a transition metal;
- and
- a nonconductive fusing agent composition comprising transition metal oxide bronze particles.
A 3-dimensional printing system, comprising:
- a powder bed comprising a thermoplastic polymer powder having an average particle size from 20 μm to 200 μm;
- a fluid jet printer comprising:
- a first fluid jet printing slot in communication with a reservoir of a conductive fusing agent composition to print the conductive fusing agent composition onto the powder bed, wherein the conductive fusing agent composition comprises a transition metal, and
- a second fluid jet printing slot in communication with a reservoir of a nonconductive fusing agent composition to print the nonconductive fusing agent composition onto the powder bed, wherein the nonconductive fusing agent composition comprises transition metal oxide bronze particles;
- and
- a fusing lamp to expose the powder bed to electromagnetic radiation sufficient to fuse thermoplastic polymer powder that has been printed with the conductive fusing agent composition or the nonconductive fusing agent composition.
A 3-dimensional printed part, comprising:
- a conductive composite portion comprising a matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles interlocked with a matrix of sintered elemental transition metal particles;
- and
- an insulating portion comprising a matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles that is continuous with the matrix of fused thermoplastic polymer particles in the conductive composite portion, wherein the insulating portion is substantially free of sintered elemental transition metal particles, and wherein the insulating portion comprises transition metal oxide bronze particles.
