Claims17
A topical therapeutic system, comprising:
- a backing layer,
- a matrix layer containing active ingredient, which contains
- at least one active ingredient,
- at least one penetration enhancer,
- at least one non-occlusive adhesive on the basis of an acrylate/vinyl acetate
- copolymer which contains free hydroxyl groups,
- at least one antioxidant, and
- at least one cross-linking agent,
- and also an occlusion-producing layer containing at least one adhesive, which layer is located between the matrix layer containing active ingredient and the backing layer, wherein the at least one active ingredient comprises diclofenac or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method of treating pain or inflammation in a patient comprising the topical application of a therapeutic system, said system comprising a backing layer, a matrix layer containing active ingredient, which contains at least one active ingredient, at least one penetration enhancer, at least one non-occlusive adhesive on the basis of an acrylate/vinyl acetate copolymer which contains free hydroxyl groups, at least one antioxidant, and at least one cross-linking agent, and also an occlusion-producing layer containing at least one adhesive, which layer is located between the matrix layer containing active ingredient and the backing layer, wherein the at least one active ingredient comprises diclofenac or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
